BVB And Bert van Marwijk End Their Working Relationship
[18.12.] Borussia Dortmund and Bert van Marwijk ended their working relationship effective immediately after a meeting this Monday. The decision was made during a meeting BVB Managing Director Hans-Joachim Watzke and BVB Director of Sport, Michael Zorc had with the Dutch trainer.

Zorc, Watzke, van Marwijk.
Bert van Marwijk took over BVB two and a half years ago, in Summer 2004. He was previously head coach of Feyenoord Rotterdam of the Dutch Ehrendivision.
Watzke and Zorc thanked the departing coach for his performance. Especially in the economically difficult season of 2004-2005.

I couldn't find the German football forum, so I stuck it here for the time being.
Shame to see him go in the middle of the season. He was supposed to make it to the end of the year before stepping down, but for whatever reason it was seen as best to part ways now and let someone else take over.
