In my derailed and finally closed first thread on this issue I mentioned the Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong (and also) Jonjo Shelvey the Charlton midfielder who starred in the latest England u16 game: good range of passsing, scores goals and is a free kick specialist. He scored a cracking free kick on the edge on the box, getting the ball up and down over the wall, crashing of the bar and into the net. He reminds me of Gary McAllister - and not just because he's bald and looks 35.

I still don't like the look of "wonder-boy" Jose Baxter - too slow and unathletic for my liking (but the commentators were raving about him claiming he is the star).

yeah i read some good things about Frimpong on the arsenal.com website, it's nice when you think you might have a talented youngster or 2 at your club, i know they expect big things from Rhys Murphy

I see Frimpong originates from Ghana - I'm wondering if he's an ex asylum seeker.

Oliver Nicholas looked the part at centre back - I didn't know he's mixed race.

Chuks Aneke looks an interesting one, if he really is that young, remarkably tall.
