I always thought he was a ****. Shouting and screaming at people in his kitchens and making them cry. Totally unneccassary it seemed to me. Plus I thought he looked like a bit of a flash git. Very up his own arse. I now realise that I was wrong. I have to hold my hands up and admit that I judged the book by its cover rather then opening it and reading a couple of pages.

He is a nice guy who loves cooking and uses his position in life, which he has worked his arse off for, to help others. On the American Hell's Kitchen he has said he will pay for one of the losing contestants to go to culinary school and has taken a girl he met whilst filming "Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares" to get some experience in his London restaurant. He didn't have to do either and he did both without the sort of fanfare that now seems to surround Jamie Oliver. Perhaps he does go over the top some times but that is just the way he is built I think. Plus I saw him on "Friday Night With Jonathan Ross" and he came across as a very engaging chap who is willing to have a laugh and doesn't take himself too seriously. He says what he thinks but is a fair person. After finding out more about him I like him:.

yeah i agree, i have seen and heard him interviewed, and he is a nice guy who loves his family. although there was a guy on who used to come on here, who worked with him first hand, and he was not a nice boss. apparently all the chefs were on coke to keep up with him in the workplace, and one poor chap died because of it.

I love him, hes pure class. He tries to get the best out of people, and he dont care what noone else thinks of him

I've heard his biography is a great read, was meaning to get it soon.

I've adopted his phrase '**** me', its amazing.

Yeah I like him, hes very funny but I think its bad man management embarrassing people in front of other peeps. But its great entertainment viewing.

I remember boiling point. That was the first time he was on TV and it was great stuff. If you think he's a physcho now you should have seen him then whilst still trying to get his michelin stars. The kitchen nightmares is quite good viewing. Although he is becoming too much of a 'lovy' with all his celebrity brown nosers.
