From TeamTalk:
Newcastle chairman Chris Mort has insisted boss Sam Allardyce's position on Tyneside is not under threat.
The Magpies manager has come under pressure for the first time since his arrival at St James' Park following successive Premier League defeats to Reading and Sunday's 4-1 home reverse by Portsmouth.
But Mort says Allardyce is part of Newcastle's long-term plans and the board would not make any rash decisions by getting rid of the former
Bolton boss.

:yikes:
You'd have to be stupid to sack Big Sam. He's given us our best start in years. He bought alot of players in the summer who still need to sort themselves out. We won't have a manager as good as him for a long time so we should be trying to hold on to him not put pressure on him!
