LA Galaxy drop Frank Yallop earlier this week, and have quickly found a replacement.
Although not official, former Chelsea and Newcastle United boss, widely known for his ‘sexy’ approach of the game, Ruud Guillit will take the helm. This will be his return to club management after a two year absence. During this last 2 years he built a television career, analyzing Eredivisie games for Tien TV in his home country and UEFA Champions League matches for Sky Sports in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
I don't know whats more surprising...
...that Guillit will be the new manager or that Guillit is alive!.... I thought he died some time ago :nodyes:

died, ha no way, he's been doing tv stuff, obviously seen him here in the UK. I think it's a good appointment, and another big step for the MLS. He'll also bring good european training methods and ideals to the game. Like calling it he changing room, rather than the locker room. you won't realise how much that annoys me

I think he will suit the likes of David Beckham, but considering he used to manage Chelsea and now gone to the level of USA.

Well, maybe this means Frank Yallop will come back to the national team again... You can't really blame LA's crappy season on him, he had injuries left, right and centre, and Landon Donovan was downright awful for the bits of the year when he wasn't injured.
You can tell LA are going for the big names though with Ruud Gullit, I don't think he's much of a manager from what I hear...?

If you don't care, then why did you bother posting here? :boat:
what i meant is that does anyone care who the manager is of that team. i get the impression its a team who's manager always asks Becks what to do next
