basically 20,000 members paid £35 and they have bought the club, interesting.

I've joined both My Football Club and The People's Club. Fantasy Football on Steroids. (http://www.thepeoplesclub.com) who are trying to do the same thing.

I reckon it'll be great for Ebbsfleet and for anyone else in the Conference, or League 1 or League 2 that they buy.

What club outside the top two divisions wouldn't die for a million quid to spend on players every year? And fans running the club will be great!

how will that work (being a member of both)?

to compete in the fa cup (and i think the same league) no party involved directly in one club can be directly involved in another. are you trying to ruin two clubs on purpose?

If this doesn't turn into a massive f***-up I'll be shocked.

Ridiculous.

I was at that site sometime last year, I think it was posted here....
I was tempted to join up but didn't. It's an interesting concept to say the least.

Its a flawed concept.

20,000 people picking the line-up. Yet I'd be suprised if 20 actually get to the games. The other lot will be sitting in Timbuktoo on their computers picking a failing team.

after one year how many of these will actually sign up again ?? If they lose interest this club's in trouble.

Agreed FOFO

I'm surprised this actually went through. I never actually thought it would be taken seriously. I really wonder how this will work. It's almost like a communist society where everyone is doing their job and are on equal measures, but no one knows why their doing it the way they are. So in essence, who actually runs the team?

As I read the story....the fans vote for the team for each game then Liam Daish (Manager / head coach) has to make do with what's chosen for him to shape a team .

i think it is a good idea

I've been thinking about it and I thought it would be a good idea at the beginning but what if the team is playing poor, or an individual is playing poor. Who decides what to do then? Or if a player gets injured. Do they ha a vote on what player to bring on if a certain player is injured or playing poor?

That could cause a problem to, say everyone voted for a defensive midfielder to come on if player X is injured. What if the team are losing and they need to attack, the defensive midfielder wouldn't be the best option for it!!

Or do the fans who now select the team, select 11 players and 5 subs and thats it, the manager does the rest?

Well we will have to see how this goes, its interesting to say the least!! But how do the real fans think about this? Having people from across the world voting on their team?

They say they vote on a squad of 16 players then the manager chooses the formation , starting 11 then who he subs during the game.

Can't wait to see how it pans out though :animatedfear:

The idea is that the manager or 'head coach' :animatedfear: will still manage the team, and give info to the site (e.g whos performing well in training, his input ect...). I'd imagine on the day the head coach would make substitute decisions.

My main worry is still that how can members vote on starting line-up when 99% of the members havnt actually seen any of the team play!

no, they pick the formation, the starting 11 and 5 subs, leaving the only thing thats up to the manager being substitutions- he'll get fed up and leave within 6 months

I think that transfers would be your main problem. How can you expect to be successful in the transfer market if you have to wait for a vote to decide which players to buy?! We all know that the market is quite aggressive, but to have that delay....

but thinking about it logically, who in non league has a million pounds to spend on transfers, most players will cost like 2k MAX. So they can take longer as they will be the only ones able to afford the players their likely to bring in.

It all depends on the player I suppose. Obviously the playing budget in the Blue Square Premier is going to be significantly less than that of the premiership, but even still, its all relative. You may find that 5 clubs in non league are all pushing for one players signiture. If thats the case then you get the same issue just with less money involved.

they vote after the terms have been agreed- they keep up with every other team while negotiating and then vote whether to sign him or veto a deal

grecian

Isnt that alot of time wasted on negotiations for people then to vote no?
