International Match
Austria v England, 20:00
Pointless friendly in my eyes, don't see the point in it, yeah the players will be able to play together but surely they can do that in training. Its just.
Anyway discuss the match in here, and have a flutter with vBookie.
What will the team be?
What do you think the score will be?
Is this a pointless and risky game?Discuss...

Friendlies are good for the manager to try out diffrent things like formations etc, and giving players who dont usually get a chance to prove themselves worthy to be in the team..
we should win but i wouldnt put a bet on it.

I wouldn't put a bet on anything England do. We are more inconsistent than Middlesbrough haha, least Middlesbrough are consistent at not winning.

This friendly can help in trying new things and give some playing time to those that don't start often. However, it's too little too late. England are not going to get out of their group. All in all they will win this friendly.

well with terry and rio out, it would have been a good chance for Campbell and Richards to work on a partnership etc, but seeing as it wont matter anyway, we should put out a B team and see who wants to fight to wear the england shirt, maybe give Bentley a try out
should be an interesting game, dont know too much about austria. the bookies have us down at good odds for 3-0 winners. robinsons dropped for carson.

Its our own fault and we can only blame ourselves for the poor performance of the team. I blame the manager as he's obviously not motivating the players, if it was Big Sam who was in charge then I think we would be top of the group, he has passion and character unlike McClaren.

lol, I think he's used to lazing about in the MLS. He's getting old now and he's not the player he used to be, but saying that, his crosses are still pretty good.

You english are such bloody thieves :nodyes:. Doubt you'd remember but my point was re-iterated in the world cup...England vs Trinidad and Tobago when Crouch blatantly pulled our defenders hair but what can you say...it was England playing Trinidad and Tobago. Who would the ref favour??? YouTube - Crouch The Hair Stroker (England vs Trinidad & Tobago) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJrHkMc5_J8). Sorry for being slightly off topic :nodyes:
