I've heard quite abit about him, talked about very highly in the MLS league and for the USA. I think we should sign him up, another classy youngster in Fergie's formidible side for the future
There was a report on this about 3 weeks ago on Sky Sports News, they were speaking to the his agent and he said hes a great asset to American soccer. However, he'll be your average player if hes in the premiership. Shows how much of a difference there is from the quality of English football, because talent wise, hes brilliant in the US and when he comes over here I hope he'll be the same, its also how you adapt to the Premiership aswell.

he's an amazing player in general actually. Its just that he's young and needs more adapting and play time. It could also ruin his career to sign for a big club and not play. He wants experience and that will help his career if he gets it. I think he should sign for a good club where he would also start.
Well if Fergie doesn't think he'll make the grade after having two weeks to have a good look at him then I'll trust him on that. He's not often wrong on young players.

They can't sign him till he's at least 18. He's really not that good, if you look at his stats he's gotten progressively worse. He's not getting better and really needs to go abroad. I mean would you rather have Theo Walcott or Freddy Adu, but are 17 and one surely shows the class over the other.
He's signed for Red Salt Lake, here's the story, they're delighted to of signed him.

unlike Europe, there are no (or very few) academies in the US (in North America for a matter of fact) either private or owned by big clubs. Thus the big difference in talent when comparing Walcott and Edu. Edu is a great player in a moderate league (like the MLS), I don't see him going over to the EPL when he turns 18. If he ends up going to Europe, he'd go to other leagues first, such Austria, Switzerland, or maybe Holland.
Bobby Convey was on soccer a.m and lovehoy was joking about finding out adu's real age and convey said jokingly 'he's probably about 26' LOL
Seriously though, there has been all this hype about him, he comes on trial at man utd and gets sent straight back. Seem like a whole hype for nothing.

DC United allowed us to have him on a 2 week trial so we could assess how good a player he is and if we would need him. He can't leave the U.S until he's 18.
Isn't he the guy who lied about his age to get attention?
