Saving them will be a miracle and a testament of how good a manager Jewell is. However, I doubt it will happen.

I think this appointment was done with the future in mind. Davies even stated that Derby got to the Prem a season too early (read as not ready). Jewell will rebuild the team once they are back in the Championship and that team will come back up and hopefully avoid relegation next time.

Why??? If Jewell can keep them up then he's coach of the year because that team is dreadful. It's funny how he had other offers but decided on this. A bit unexpected. He should at the least, i think, improved the team so they may actually score a goal and perhaps not give up as many. They can't get any worse, i think.
