Sir Alex Ferguson has hailed star winger Cristiano Ronaldo, who is up for two major awards over the next fortnight.

Ronaldo is in contention for both the prestigious Ballon D'Or foon Sunday, as well as the Fifa World Player of the Year prize, which will be decided on 17th December.

While it is anticipated that he will be edged out by Milan's Kaka for the European prize, he could beat off the Brazilian and Lionel Messi - who are also on the three man short-list - for the World Player award.

For he is the only member of the trio who won a domestic title last season, and he has already scored 11 goals this term, which come on top of his 23 strikes last term.

I think everyone should hail him, he's a crackin player one of the best in the premiership

As much as lots of people dont like him, anyone who says he doesnt deserve it dont know nothing about football..

he is a excellent player and i dont think he has been doing any diving antics recently either
