View Full Version : FIFA what a joke
There really starting to annoy me now. I accept that they have done alot of good for the game, but there are certain rules that are ridiculous
1) The FA should be able to punish any incident retrospecitvely, particularly diving. Surely they should get a committee to analyse at least every premiership game and if a player is guilty of "simulation" as they ridiculously call it, or conning the ref then they should get a 5 match ban. Although it would take quite alot of time at first, the more players get punished the less they'll do it and their job will be easier.
2) Why do players get booked for taking their shirts off. They started the rule after Henry chucked his shirt into Everton fans, apparently where his missus was sitting:confused: But Mr Blatter wants to take the passion out of the game and to book players, in some cases send them off, for taking their shirt off is outrageous need I say more. On the same note I remember Shevchencko and Ballack getting booked for celebrating with fans after respecitvely scoring their first home goals for the club. WHY?
3) Not quite as relevant or important, but 15 year olds aren't allowed to play on the same pitch as a 18 year olds in any game even school football. Wake up it isn't dangerous!!!

I agree with everything exept the last one, you don't want to rush players into the team, 15 is too young, they are too you to react to challenges and they might react the wrong way and get sent off and this may have an affect on their career and what people think about them.
You have to slowly build them up. Or they will turn out to be a social handgranade.
On the diving, they should look at any incident that ends up with a free kick / penalty so they can than look if they have dived. Ronaldo's penalty was not a found by the keeper, he dumped and landed on the floor. Also the free kick moments later was a blatant dive and even sky said that.
Players should NOT be booked for celebrating and taking their shirts off. Its a rediculous rule that needs to be changed.

I agree with you pretty much, if FIFA changed the first two things I'd be happy enough!
The way I see this whole diving thing is that collectively FIFA are condoning diving in general because a player dives, results in a goal, FIFA allow it to stand and count towards the league table. I say FIFA because you can't blame the refs as certain players are highly skilled and
you can't blame the FA as they do not have the power to punish respectively although FIFA could not stop them with Ben Thatcher and I wonder if they'd intervene if they banned players who dived.
At the end of the day in the realy world if you get caught on camera breaking the speed limit you get punished retrospectively, why shouldn't divers.
BLATTER OUT!
