Sky Sports | Football | Premier League | Liverpool | Rafa confident over Masch (http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11669_2949527,00.html)
-------------------------------------------
He better be staying permenantly and not be ruining his career and go to City. He is a total asset to us and a tremendous central defensive midfielder with real quality. Hopefully this article is the truth.
What do you think?? Do you think he offers the team anything or we should let him go?

It was reported today that deal on hold till the summer!
Anyone who regulary watches the Reds must be (like me) desparate to see him stay as he is an amazing player.
I read this earlier, sounds worrying to me but i too am hoping that we sort this out ASAP..
This guy is quality, ship out Sissoko and sort this play Lucas a little more Midfield will be sorted, well the centre anyway.
JAVIER MASCHERANO has pleaded with Liverpool’s American owners to allow him to continue his career at Anfield.
But the Argentina international admits time is running out for his 18-month loan spell to be made permanent at the club he now regards as “home”.
Liverpool have already agreed a £17million fee with MSI, who own the player’s registration, and a contract with the 23-year-old has also been negotiated.
Mascherano is desperate to stay at Anfield after making a huge impact under Rafael Benitez, including an appearance in the Champions League final in May.
While the Liverpool manager wants to retain the player, it is understood the Anfield hierarchy will still wait until the end of the season before deciding whether to keep Mascherano.
And with Barcelona ready to make a bid for the midfielder, the Argentine has warned George Gillett and Tom Hicks that he may be left with no choice but to secure his future elsewhere.
“It’s simple,” said Mascherano. “With the time that has passed it will now be more difficult for me to stay here because I need to do something about my future.
“It is a really difficult situation because I have been talking a lot about how I want to stay here but, now, it doesn’t depend on me.
“I have done everything to stay but now the owners have to decide if they want to buy me or not. They have to decide.
“I have to say thank you to everyone at Liverpool because I feel like this is my home.
“It is difficult for me because I have gone from being at West Ham, where it wasn’t good for me, to Liverpool, where I am really happy.
“I want to stay but it doesn’t depend on me and it will be difficult because of the amount of time that has passed and I need to do something about my future.”
Mascherano continued his fine festive form with a man-of-the-match display in the goalless draw at Manchester City on Sunday
