View Full Version : LEEDS UNITED - still 11 points clear
Black Swan

After another tremendous away performance, a hard fought 1-1 draw at Walsall, Leeds United still remain 11 points clear in the REAL TABLE of statistics.

It's not the REAL table that counts though, is it.

leeds have done well, many wrote them off at the start of the season, but they proved everyone wrong

No, in the table where there are no rules you are 11 points clear. I think Leeds will end up in playoff's.

They'll definitely do well... promotion in my eyes, but the whole 11 points thing doesn't matter because that's not how the situation is so it's best to just deal with it and accept the situation as it is.

They have no choice but to get on with it right now. They've gone about tackling this league very well & seem to make short work of most opponents which is something we can't seem to master in this league....last Saturday result against Northampton was a typical example

Yea, they've definitely done well given the situation they were put in at the start of the league. It's just pointless moaning about the -15 points, I mean, obviously they'd be well up top now had it not been for the deducation but they're still going strong and will if they keep going, they'll no doubt finish 1st, if not in the top 3 by the end of the season so there's no worries really is there.

It would be nice for them to gain promotion automatically. Cant wait until they're in the premier league...then we'd start hating them again whereas now we pity upon them.

Rather be hated, no pity please:nod:
Any potential transfer targets confirmed Black Swan ?? We've put a 200K offer in for Dave Edwards at Luton now all their players are up for grabs since going into admin. Shame really, I feel like we're the vulture hovering over the carcass waiting for the pickings.

I don't know. I mean, you claim that you're not worrying over it, yet you're more focussed on what the "real" table says than what the actual table says. I'm just saying get over the whole real table crap because it doesn't exist.
They are fantastic team....if they keep going, they will be champion...must be record history?!?:thumbup1:

It would indeed be fantastic Hammer
But further news from Leeds United regarding the 15 point issue. In a statement released from the club today it read as follows -
Leeds United, The Football Association and the 15 points
Leeds United have written to the FA requesting that the matter now be referred to an Independent Arbitration Tribunal under FA Rule K4.
Under the provision a three man panel is commissioned. The club and the FA both nominate one member each and the Chairman is independent.
The club have also requested that Rule K6 should be dispensed with so that the proceedings are not confidential and the matter is determined at a public hearing.
We will keep supporters informed as to the progress of this request.
Notes
FA Rule K4 refers to the procedure of arbitration.
FA Rule K6 refers to the confidentiality surrounding the procedure.
So the REAL table may still make an appearance before the end of the season.
Remember only 1 club in Div 1 voted for Leeds United, Nottingham Forest were the only true sporting and gracious club to vote for Leeds United Football Club at the start of the season.
All the others opted to give themselves a 15 point start on the wounded and then dying club:nod:

Why do you keep adding "in the REAL TABLE"... the real table that you keep referring to doesn't exist. You lost 15 points, stop being pathetically bitter about it and deal with it. It's not like you're doing bad in the league so you don't even need a reason to bring up the fact that you lost 15 points. FFS.

Leeds United are still 12 points clear in the REAL LEAGUE TABLE, ahead of the very good Swansea and Forest outfits.
However in the FA's new -15 HANDICAP LEAGUE TABLE , the mighty Leeds United [ WE ARE CHAMPIONS, CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE ] are 3 points behind the HANDICAP SYSTEM LEADERS Swansea:roflmao:

I would like to see Leeds win this league, which they most probably will.£ points behind the leaders having 15 points deducted.
Would be justice in my opinion, and stick 2 fingers up at the FA!
Other clubs have been treated a lot lighter, for similar things.
West Ham with the Tevez thing being the most notable.

I hope we stay down, it is so funny in this league.
The pitch at hartlepool yesterday was so bad they were planting rice in it at half time:roflmao:

Leeds United had their lead at the top of the REAL LEAGUE TABLE cut to 9 points yesterday. With a 3-2 defeat at the hands of a very good Swansea outfit.
It was however good to see Leeds play in a good stadium, on a good pitch against a side with a class manager, some good players and an appreciative and very vocal home support.
A great improvement on the trip on the 26th December.

I applaud you, BB :eusa_clap: Appreciate it much, because it's probably the only time I ever will :nodyes:
This will sound good coming from me, but you really shouldn't allow Black Swan to wind you all up. I know a certain person wound me up all the time on here, but the difference is that Black Swan is actually amusing.:thumbup1:

Darren.... the only person(s) he amuses, is yourself, and himself. I personally wouldn't class that as amusing, not overall at least.
As far as I am concerned Black Swan is alright anyway, and a world away from the member now thankfully banned on here.:thumbup1:

Cheers Darren, although this thread is going off thread as usual.
But there is an old saying Darren, if you amuse just one person you have made the world a better place.
I have entertained and amused you, my job is done.
But back on thread Darren. Leeds are now only 9 points clear of Swansea in THE REAL LEAGUE TABLE, and Swansea have 2 games in hand.

Nice one mate, when ignorance is bliss it's folly to be wise isn't it?

Well clearly, Black Swan finds bliss in ignorance in making himself believe that there's another table other than the present one.

Your post is however witty and thoughtful.

No, me either. It's too Black-Swan-like, which is clearly not good. Nor is it good to refer to the "real table" as though there's another one in existance running parrallel with the ACTUAL real table.
The only thing that was good about my post was that I actually spoke about reality. Now given that you do both of the mentioned in the above paragraph, and you don't do the mentioned in this paragraph, I'd say that makes your posts pretty "naff", to be nice, and all :)
