View Full Version : The stepping stones of the league
Am I the only one who is fucked off by the sly bugger called Dimitar Berbatov? Saying how happy he is at Spurs, telling his agent to get him to Manchester United and then uncontrollably laugh off 4 goals against Reading, probably knowing they may be his last. As he picks the ball up he "appears" to start limping as if he is injured, aswell.
Have we seen the last of him in a Spurs shirt?
What really annoys me is the greed of football players, I never really cared but now I do. It's making football corrupt and unfair - all the decent players play for the bigger clubs and if they aren't they want to. It's a cycle that may never be broken, and Spurs seem to get all the wankers:
SOL C*MPBELL
MICHAEL CARRICK
BERBATOV?
JERMAINE DEFOE?
They all had/have great careers ahead of them with Spurs but they didn't want to build success with the club, they wanted to get instant trophies. I still rue Carricks departure as our missing link in midfield, and it's happening again.
This is Spurs' luck, we seem to unearth a gem, then they **** us over. The media hardly helps either constantly on Berbatovs back, but it seems they were right anyway.
I'd love him to stay - but is it likely? I don't think he will go in January, but you never know.
That's my rant over on Spurs being stepping stones and corruption in football.
**** SAKE!

Exactly. The people who moan about it are generally the people that help pay their wages, like yourself and me, and others on here :p
The thing is, people say they're overpaid, but does anyone say that an artist is overpaid for selling a stupid painting, or that a singer or band is overpaid simply for recording a song? Anything that works in the entertainment business is going to result in the people involved being "overpaid." I think a lot of people need to realise that football is, afterall, only entertainment.

They also want instant success rather than creating it, which is capable. So it makes it even harder for the others. Football is ridiculous at times.
I think Berbatov will stay. I get the impression that he's a down to earth sort of guy who isn't motivated by money. I think if he's treated fairly then he's got no reason to leave. Don't rule out the chance of Spurs having some success this season and what better way to hang on to our star players.

Mate, I'd love to keep hold of Berba and I don't think he's off in January but of course a team like United will tempt him - also Dantchev is a complete cnut.
Just as Berbatov rumours die down - he again opens his mouth and we're unsure yet again.
He will be gone very soon, gone from the mid-table mediocrity to the higher echelons of the Premiership. It's just a matter of time.
We've established that mate :nodyes:
But we are neither a mid-table team, or a mediocre team.
I should have said lower half of the league team.
Yes, we are. We've also established that, anymore facts we already know while you're at it?
You're no fun are you?:nodyes:
I am normally, just taking the piss out of Spurs is not the best way to get the fun side out of me :thumbup1:
OK mate no worries, I should talk anyway being a Newcastle fan.:nodyes:
What :yikes:
I'd stick to Mossley mate.

I understand your frustration Yiddo, but the guy may want to be away, so he will at some stage leave, get rid.
Get the best out of the players who want to stay.
No good hanging on to a scum lover.

Might aswell leave it to the summer to milk the money out of Glazer or Abramovich.
If he wants to go I'm not bothered as we have strikers and the money to replace him, but it seems he signed knowing he'll be off in a season or two.
I agree with the swan, doesn't seem to me that he gives you 100%, let him go and count the dosh!
spurs had a poor start to the season and have been the 5th best team in the prem. now i see themv as 6th and everton just keep getting better
