I would love us to get a top quality striker to go with Torres (anelka would be nice) but it looks like a centre half is the priority although Agger close to fitness now.

Yes it does look like hes going to Chelsea but I am just saying he would have been ideal. It is frustrating as we once had him on loan and GH chose to go for El "spit the dog" Diouff instead.

I know what you mean about Cole though he thinks he's better than what he is!

Martin Skrtel was born in Handlova, Slovakia on 15 December 1984.
Career
He is FC Previdza school graduate. Played for Slovakian teams FC Previdza and FC Trencin.
From 2004 Martin’ been playing for FC Zenit. He made his debut in the Russian Cup match on 31 July, 2004 against FC Irtysh.
Capped for the Slovak youth national team and then Slovak A-team. As well as Kamil Contofalsky, Martin faced his teammates from FC Zenit during the World Cup 2006 preliminary fixture Russia vs Slovakia, which ended with the victory of the latter.

i believe torres and villa are similar and it wouldnt work! you need a big man small man partnership (but not fooking crouch) it dont matter anyway - rafa will only keep swapping 'em around :nodyes:

Sources at Melwood inform us that a medical for at least one incoming player is planned for later this week.

Sissoko is gone, thank God, to Juve for £8.2million. The sale of Sissoko is expected to provide Benitez with additional funds to finance a permanent transfer for Mascherano.

Good sale in my view. His winning of the ball was quality however his passing of the ball was horrible!
