FERGUSON AND THE SCUM FANS

Scumchester manager Ferwort has complained about the lack of atmosphere at old trafftip.

A supporters club spokesman responded by stating that the old trafftip stewards eject any fan who stands up and chants at the theatre of gloom.

I agree with both Fergwort and the fan, my experiences of visiting trafftip have not been great from a result point of view, but we always out chanted the prawn sandwich boys.

The stewarding and scum policy on standing fans is now meant to be very strict.

When a Manager complains about his own fans after a win it shows that there is clearly something wrong.
When you have 70,000 fans making no noise there has to be a reason.
Is it the fact that they are too strictly supervised or is it coz all the real Mancs go to watch City leaving glory-hunters who just dont have the passion which comes from supporting your local side??????

The atmosphere topic has been raised before, although they do command the biggest attendances there is IMHO a lack of atmosphere. Whether it is the over zealous stewarding or the fact that the fans are so used to winning comfortably I don't know.

I remember attending a game there in the nineties for instance, when the scum only allocated about 800 tickets to Leeds for a Prem game, it was a famous game for Leeds, it was The Lucas's Game, we outsang the scumsters that night. It was well before the famous Keane outburst regarding the "prawn sandwich" set.

I have read with raised eyebrows the comments that Ferguson made. I’ve always thought the support there was excellent so I don’t know what’s going on. Surely it can’t be that the supporters are used to the success. Could it have been that it was New Years Day and most were worse for wear?

Manchester united have a huge fan base but rarely ever sing... alot of fans either cant speak english or don't know manchster united songs, manchester united have about 300 good fans show up to each game and sing and support like a real football fan

They are all named scum, a group of them are called scummers.

A stadium full is called "silent scummers".

Both Keane in the past and now fergwort are both correct.

I highly doubt you have got a season ticket if you haven't heard that chant mate, I remember correctly that Arsenal sang it for a good ten minutes.

Also, you don't need to go to a game to hear a chant, theres a website called youtube and also a TV programme, Match of the Day, and also a channel called Sky Sports.

I like Liverpool but not their fans. I wonder why?
