Podolski to Man City

Sven Goran Eriksson's reputation as a manager has grown since he took over at Manchester City, and he looks set to enhance it further by pulling off the biggest coup of the January transfer window in signing Bayern Munich striker Lukas Podolski on loan until the end of the season.

Podolski, who would fetch at least £15million on the open market, is regarded as potentially his country's best forward since Gerd Muller.

He was one of the brightest stars at the last World Cup but has struggled to win his place back in the Bayern side this season after injury.

I think this would be a great signing for City even if it were a loan. The turn around that Sven has made with that club is truly remarkable.

they would probably need to get rid of one of their 4 other strikers first to make room. but i agree it would be a good coup

From what Ive seen of him (mainly World Cup) and what ive seen of what they have now, There is deffo a place for him at City but what & how bad was his injury?
