What era is the best, the 70's or the 80's. Even though I love the 70's you can't beat the 80,s Durran Durran, Wham, Queen, Pet Shop Boys and many many more.

Right, this is my opinion:

The eighties were just a crappy decade in general, IMO. Rock lost its edge as it became part of the whole corporate mainstream and the definition of rock 'n' roll changed to mean groups like Duran Duran and Culture Club who pumped out tunes with synthesizers and drum pads, the kids all watched MTV instead of listening to the radio, we switched over to those shitty little compact discs and people had bad hairstyles. The seventies weren't so hot either, but in terms of music they pwned the eighties, you've got Boston, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Wings, Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, BTO, Rush, The Clash, and a zillion others.

Oh, and by the way, Queen put out most of their best work in the 1970s.

Well I heard most of there stuff in the 80's. Ok maybe I should have done a lil bit more research, but I would class Queen as an 80's band, Duran Duran are not a rock group either!!!
