i'm not sure he should go there, with gadymak owning a lot of money and pumping it into the club and their new stadium designs why would he go to the cursed club

Yeah just seen that on Sky. Would be a real challenge for him as is for any manager joining newcastle. Very demanding Geordies are never easy.

Thats because the stupid geordies think they are a big club and should be fighting for the title haha. Its just not going to happen, not in my lifetime :D.

Sorry to say but Newcastle are a big club by heart not by trophies.
Redknapp would be making a big mistake, in my opinion, leaving Portsmouth for Newcastle. Newcastle as well made a mistake by giving Allardyce the boot. The gave Robson, Souness and Roeder far more time to do something... hell even Gullit lasted longer on the job!!!
Honestly can't see Redknapp going to Newcastle. The club seems cursed as far as managers go and Redknapp has done wonders at Portsmouth and is set up in the south.

Tony Adams to take over at Pompey if Harry goes?
If he's not on his way there then the speculation must just be a smoke screen for someone else because I can't believe they'd sack Big Sam without being confident about having a replacement confirmed already.

the thing is robson, souness, roeder and gullit were all sacked by the man who appointed them. newcastles mistake was appointing allardyce in the first place

so what you're saying is newcastle will have already lined up an out of work manager (theres a reason they're not in a job) or will be facing a tapping up charge
Redknapp made the right decision. Hes at a club where his in the process of building a platform for them, moving now would simply put them at risk. Hes going to get alot more respect from his Portsmouth fans and I suspect fans from other clubs too.
Whoever wants to manage Newcastle needs to go in and tell the chairman straight away what HE wants to do. Mike Ashley is a big fan, so hes going to be just as bad as the fans themselves, fickle.
Newcastle are a big club in the area that they surround but not at all internationally, certainly not a club that attracts big players.
Who wants to move to Newcastle anyway?

if they don't attract big players then how did they manage to get owen?
and mike ashley is a spurs fan- hence the reason that soon after buying newcastle he was rumoured to be looking to sell up and making an offer for them

Redknapp came out of this smellin of Roses according to reports he's had a £1,000000 a year pound pay rise plus a guarranteed 15mill transfer kitty!
Sam fails and gets 6mill!
Nice work if you can get it ey?

Newcastle got Owen because no one else wanted him and he wanted a move back to the premiership. He wanted to go to Liverpool but they didn't want him. It's a good thing too because Owen has only played 20 games if that since he's been at Newcastle.

both liverpool and everton wanted him, granted newcastle outbid them, but if he wanted to he could have kicked up a big enough fuss and got other offers accepted
they also managed to get martins to go, they managed to sign duff ahead of other teams (believed to include liverpool)
they aslo beat liverpool to jose enrique
shows they have some pulling power
Tis a shame they can't produce anything with those players hough :/
