View Full Version : Mourinho for Liverpool?

Carragher
13-01-2008, 10:57
Just watched 'The Sunday Supplement' on Sky. According to a handful of papers, Mourinho has employed a 3rd party to contact Hicks and Gillett, stating that he is ready for the challenge to manage us next year, cheeky tw@t!! I would see my arse if he was here next season, and I know the majority of other reds would.

On the subject of the Yanks, it is a given that ANY new manager that comes in would require a minimum kitty of 25m to make his own impact on the team. So, if they are citing Rafa wanting money as one reason to get rid of him, dont they realise that a new manager would require a vast amount anyway?

NOT HAPPY.

I think he is def gonna get forced out by the Yanks or get made to have had enough. From a neutral though mourinho would be quality for ya. But i reckon he is holdin out for QPR to get in the prem!!!:roflmao:

I doubt Mourinho would come back to England so quickly tho. Probably just another rumour. I for one can see him taking over at AC Milan with the amount of shite Ancelotti is doing.

Mourinho will be connected to dozens of clubs while he remains 'out of work' and a representative of Mourinho has angrily denied the former Chelsea manager is trying to engineer a move to Liverpool. Who knows?

I have had a season ticket since 1984 & before that I paid in every week. Ive been a regular at Anfield for nearly 40 years now & I would not go to watch us play under a man who has shown us so much dis-respect in the past!
I think you are getting us mixed up with the Mancs when you mention Fickle! Of course if they are successful Full houses will be guarrenteed but not with the real fans who have been brought up on Shanks, Paisley, Fagan etc.
The Soul of the Club will be ripped out if we take this line of action!

i'd put money on the fact that people who'd stay away and not renew season tickets would be in a very small minority, so unless anfield has more glory hunters than liverpool fans would have us believe, most of the fans you mention would carry on going

I agree with tuesday2die on this one.

It would be your choice shanks, but you would be cutting your own throat by depriving yourself of something that you love doing, supporting "your club".

If mourinho did ever take over the managers role at the Pool, he is only an employee, a manager, the supporters are what makes a club, any club.

People say things about other clubs, it is all part of the psychology of the "brain game" sure he may have said things derogatory about Liverpool or he may have been misquoted, I don't know. But at the end of the day it is about one thing, your club, your badge, Liverpool Football Club.

I hope the Pool stick with the Goatee, he is in my opinion a great manager, you need continuity now. But if they do change managers, you must still support the club and not STD out.

sticking with benitez does the opposite to bringing continuity and stability- he'll carry on rotating, bring in more players, repeat

I will always support my club till the day I die! My point I am making is that I would not go to watch a team playing under Mourinho! He has slagged us in Public, He put his finger over his mouth to gesture us to shut up at Cardiff! He will never get my support I will not be hypocrital & sing his name!
Many people share my thoughts on this! If the Enemy takes us over then what is the point of it all! Anyway I'm off to watch the best man for the job's team now!

Any way back on thread manure brain, Liverpool should stick with Rafa and forget about Mourinho.

typo, a dictionary definition:
The noun typo has one meaning:

Meaning #1: a mistake in printed matter resulting from mechanical failures of some kind
Synonyms: misprint, erratum, typographical error, literal error, literalshowing your general lack of intelligence there, i would repeat your insult but 1. i'm more mature and 2. i realise you have no brain, manure or otherwise

oh, and 1 final point- theres no member that i know of on this site called wendy

Your a Sheffield Wendies fan, so surprise surprise, my affectionate pet name for you is wendy. But alas you knew the answer, you were merely playing games, as is your way.

You of course, use much more abusive language when referring to us poor "diddy league" supporting Super Leeds fans.

But come come, back on thread little wendy - great result for Rafa tonight, may keep talk of Mourinho at bay for a day or 2.

This thread just about sums up Liverpool fans. They won't give up on the past. Mourinhio is a one of the best managers in the world...if Benitez goes why wouldn't you want a world class manager?

People say he'll only go to a big club, but I don't see why he wouldn't go to a Liverpool/Spurs just for a challenge. That said, this is blatantly just paper talk from the sun or some **** media.

We used to always sing "we all hate Leeds & Leeds............
I personally never did hate them and remember great rivalry, great games going back to the times of Lorimer, Bremner etc
I want them to be back in top flight to renew this rivalry.
I think the common ground between our fans is, as you have pointed out, our shared dislike of Manure!

The first time Leeds won the league back in 1968/69 season, Leeds clinched the title at Anfield with a 0-0 draw[boring Leeds, who cares] Don Revie pushed the Leeds players back on the pitch for a lap of honour.

The Pool fans burst out in to song with "champions champions" great fans, great club.

Leeds incidentally used 17 players in their 42 games that season.

Some Leeds fans, my son included don't like the Pool, I do.
