So Sven Goran Eriksson is lining up a £20million move for Darren Bent and Jermain Defoe? Funny really because Eriksson snubbed BOTH players in the summer of 2006 when he decided to leave them out of his England squad for the World Cup Finals.
I don’t want Defoe to go. I think his heart is with Tottenham. His attitude has been pretty good considering his lack of opportunities and last night against Reading he looked sharp and determined, not the sign of a player who’s unhappy at his club. As for Darren Bent, well, it goes without saying that he’s been disappointing, especially after the amount of money we paid for him. But there is undoubtedly some potential there at it remains to be seen if Ramos and Poyet can bring out the best in him.
Having said that, I'm not ruling out the possibility of both of them banging in the goals for City in the near future. £20 million is a nice little sum that will go a long way to buying a solid, world class midfielder. It’s a funny old game.

What City need is a couple of decent strikers. Both would do pretty well in the City team aswell and will be guarenteed first team football. Defoe should definately go.

I don't think Sven is lacking in funds at the moment so I'm sure he'll get the strikers he needs whether or not they're Bent and Defoe.

What Sven is playing now, i dont think the style the international team played was the same and to be honest he based his decision on who was playing.

To be honest Sven has been linked with everyone at the minute and it depends where the truth is in it.

What a strange game it is. Mind you, all the misleading newspaper reports don't help. It now (appears) that Jermaine Defoe is staying at Tottenham. Dare I say that it looks more and more likely that Berbatov will stay until the summer? I've probably put a curse on that one and he'll end up at Man Utd on the last day of January.
