Alan Thompson - One month loan

One of the Leeds lot has been sent to the Vic on a month's loan. Leeds Midfielder Alan Thompson got his first game in last Tuesday when he played 70 minutes of the 4-3 victory over the Shrimpers, and will be with Pools for the next six matches, in all.

He seemed an alright player. I hope he gets his game in while he's here and picks us up a little bit since we've got absolutely no new players at all.

Why have you lot not bought any players? Are you hard up for cash?

I think so, yes. Danny Wilson keeps saying he is trying for players and browsing, if you like, but the other day in the paper it said that we're strapped for cash and don't have it to spend, even if we could find anyone suitable. :(

Do you not have a good youth team? With training facilities? That in the long run would save you loads don't you think? Rather than buy players, train them up, but yet again that would require money!!

We do have quite a lot of skilled players in the youth team, it's just taking the risk of using them in the first squad, especially now that we need players who are experienced.

Though saying that, I said we're already in the $hit really, and after Friday (last week, not last night) when they all played diabolical, Wilson should shock every single player who played $hit and replace them with a youth player for a match. They'd be more enthusiastic and it would shape up the regular first team players as well.
