leeds fail with signing

Quote:
Bristol City striker Enoch Showunmi has decided against a move to Leeds United.
The two clubs had agreed a fee for the 25-year-old, who has scored 13 goals in 44 games for City but has not been a regular in their starting line-up.

BBC Radio Leeds reports that Showunmi has opted to stay at Ashton Gate and fight for his place.

Showunmi joined City from Luton in 2006 on a Bosman free transfer having helped the Hatters win back-to-back promotions from League Two to the Championship
bbc.co.uk

should be embarrassing after the mouth claiming not too long ago weeds were bigger than any club in the championship- showumni obviously doesn't think so, choosing to stay wherehe's not wanted instead of going to that huge superclub

Good decision by Enoch, he obviously knows that The Robins have an excellent chance of mixing it with the big boys next season.

They are handily placed for promotion to the Prem, best of luck to the lad.

what they did was against the rules and regulations of the football league- punishment justified (i'd have preferred the league to have turned round and told them to do one). they got the share transfered anyway (the leagues only mistake in this matter was allowing them to carry on functioning). upon transfer of the golden share an agreement was signed preventing legal action being taken by either leeds or the league against the other (an agreement that once the writ is served is broken). that agreement gets broken then i cant see mr mawhinney going easy on them

then theres the position of both clubs- leeds with a crook as chairman, a mouth as manager and only an outside chance of promotion to the championship (which will then be followed by struggle for a few years) or he can stay at bristol city, where he is playing under one of the most respected managers in the game with a decent chance of premier league football next season. moving to leeds would be a huge step backwards for his career

why are you so determined to see a great club go to the dogs. I thought you love football, so surely you wouldn't want to see the sad demise of a club with so much history regardless of whether or not you believe your club has a bigger history or not.

leeds are the one club everyone in sheffield hates- everyone would join together in support of any campaign designed to ruin the club. although on the way to them being ruined i am loving the whole becoming a laughing stock phase, long may it continue

Please concentrate Miss Jones, this thread is about a player electing to stay at his present club and not join the famous Leeds United in their diddy league.

But if they're ruined you'll have no-one to hate. I love having the black cats in the prem. Dont want them to do well, and certainly not better than us but I'd be sad to see them go down. Isn't it a case that everyone in Sheffield LOVES to hate Leeds. Therefore the joy is having them there as rivals. Cant see what joy there could be in wanting to ruin a great rival.
