Although it is only speculation, it appears Big Den "may" have been approached about the possibility of a place on the newcs coaching staff.
Hopefully the speculation is unfounded, Big Den is currently doing a good job at Leeds United.
We will however, just have to wait and see what develops over the next few days.

Well Wisey will be on his way to the newcs after preparing Leeds for their trip to Southend.
I personally have no hard feelings towards the guy.
The timing is unfortunate, but once Leeds United gave the newcs permission to speak to Wisey, well the writing was on the wall.
But Leeds will move on, I think Bertie Bassett will temporarily take the reins until a successor to Wisey is appointed.
But the old saying in football, about the only "constant at a football club are the fans" rings true again.
Dennis Wise is a big character himself. Find it interesting that one of the reasons shearer gave for not accepting the no 2 job was because he felt he and Keegan would clash, will Wise not clash with Keegan as well?

Big possibility, but not our problem.
Wise leaving could be a blessing in disguise though.
Names in the frame now include, Gary McAllister and John Sheridan.

Yeah, mis understood your post.
I don't dislike him as a person, it is more the style of football he advocates. I know he has a reasonably good record in management, but IMO he would not be a popular choice as the next Leeds United manager.

So do you see it as a bad choice by Keegan then? I take it your eagerness to see him leave Leeds means you think he'll have little to offer at Newcastle?

Of the names mentioned I would take Gary McAllister any day of the week, he is currently one of the bookies favourites.
John Sheridan is another I would love to see back at Leeds. Both fantastically skillful and creative midfield generals in their playing days, and 2 of my all time Leeds United favourites.

Wise is Leeds history now, he is the past.
I am not really bothered about Keegans choice, he made it and the ex Chelsea southerner has gone.
We will all eagerly await the next manager of Leeds and carry on supporting the club and badge.

Former great player doesn't necessarily = great manager though, does it?

No it doesn't, but Sheridan has started his managerial career off well at Oldham.
Gary McAllister only had a short spell at Coventry, due to very unfortunate circumstances.
But both are highly thought of characters, either would be welcomed back to Elland Road with open arms.
Football management is a hard, tough occupation. The stakes are high, but so are the rewards. But IMO both men would be ideal for the position.
Sure I am favouring people with Leeds connections, but I can assure you it is not from my heart in regard to the 2 people mentioned, it is my head that is telling me that either one would be ideal to lead Leeds United Football Club.

Leeds should be a prem club, tho they had a bad few years, they are on the right road back,And Wise was leading them there Im sure if they went up,which i think they will,Wise stature would have grown a lot,Get them within shouting distance of the prem, and it would have been immense.Too big a club to be where they are, although they are there on merit or lack of it.Coaching staff at Newcastle is a backward step career-wise imo.

Long time before Leeds get to the prem again though, cos they're only in the "diddy" league right now. Perhaps he sees it as a stepping stone into prem management. Managers get booted out like fun at the top, perhaps he thinks by going to Newcastle he'll be in the right place at the right time.

no such thing as being too big- look at forest, they actually won the european cup and have been there three years, we spent two years there. i'm sure there'll be more

I can see where you're coming from with this SA, but he is leaving for a Premier League club after all.

As i said its about merit!! Wimbledon were in the top flight for many years.

To a much lesser, lower profile role,If hed stayed at Leeds doing the kind of job he has been doing,he could end up with his own club,or even Leeds back in the prem!
