View Full Version : Gilberto!!
Excellent signing. Lets hail Comolli
On a downer note, Gardner and Stalteri have gone on loan to Everton and Fulham.

I thought he failed the medical?
Nah mate, he actually signed yesterday - you can tell by the pictures.
That was just SSN because they hadn't got the news - they really are cunts.
But I'm well chuffed 4 great players in this transfer window.

Yep, quality signings

Now we need Chimbonda to fook off and we may still be bringing in a midfielder if we are willing to sell Tainio...

53 minutes left. pretty tight to bring any more players in.

Woodgate, Hutton and Gilberto were all signed the day before we announced them - so you never know :nodyes:

What do you reckon on Gilberto left back and Bale left midfield?

Worth a pop mate but no idea what is going to happen to Malbranque!
my proposed team for now (left to right to lessen confusement!):
Cerny
Lee King Woodgate Hutton/Chimbo
Gilly Jenas Malbranque/Boateng Lennon
Keane Berba.
It's going to be good to see what Ramos does!

Yeah, looks good. But I ain't seen much from Boateng yet. Think I'd rather see Hudd there.

Boateng has been brilliant so far IMO. He gives away some sloppy fouls but he is a hardhitting midfielder, something that we need. Also when he came on against Everton, he completely changed the game.
Huddlestone definitely 3rd or maybe 4th choice for me.

Bit surprised there. All Boateng seems to do is give the ball away a lot and commit silly fouls. But I respect your better judgement.

It's just an opinion mate, each to their own :nodyes:
Oh, and here:
"The club is delighted to announce the signing of Gilberto. In the interests of accuracy the club wishes to make it clear that, contrary to reports in this morning's papers, there were no issues arising from his medical.
The delay was entirely due to the player needing to return to Germany as part of the work permit process in order to obtain his entry clearance visa. Gilberto is available for selection subject to receipt of his international transfer certificate."
The real reason :thumbup1:

Cheers. Definately a good buy.
I only assume we kept Chimbonda because Hutton is cuptied in the UEFA.
But I feel Gunter could be getting a few games soon.
Not sure if Gilberto is a starter either at the moment.

can i just say that at 31, he's not exactly a long term solution, obviously ramos has no faith in Bale to be starting week in week out.
Also i heard that Boateng, was signing for Villa

Bale is crocked until next season. We could still maybe get 2 seasons out of Gilberto.
As for Boateng - that was a mistake by SSN and they actually meant Routledge. Spurs contacted them about it and they changed it.
