Leaders Walsall had their lead cut to four points as they were held 1-1 at Boston United.

Milton Keynes Dons and Lincoln both moved into the top three as Swindon fell to a shock defeat at bottom of the table Macclesfield.

Boston went ahead at York Street through Dany N'Guessan just before the hour but Tommy Wright (pictured) struck to seal a point for The Saddlers with 18 minutes left.

Swindon had started the day in second but they finished it outside the promotion places after defeat at Moss Rose.

Goals from John Murphy (27) and Danny Swailes (53) set up Macclesfield's victory although Lee Peacock (64) did give Swindon some hope but they could not find a way through.

MK Dons were the first beneficiaries of Swindon's loss as they came from behind to claim a 2-1 win.

Lee Harper put through his own net on 58 minutes which gave Dale the lead, but two goals in the last ten minutes from Izale McLeod and an own goal from Nathan Stanton gave Martin Allen's side the win.

Lincoln also moved into the top three after a hard fought 2-1 success at London Road against Peterbrough.

Ryan Amoo was the hero for The Imps as his double (22 & 72) sandwiched an effort from Peter Gain (42).

Wycombe moved to within three points of the top three after they sealed a 2-0 win over Stockport. Goals in each half from Kevin Betsy (2) and Jermaine Easter (63) were enough for Paul Lambert's side.

Hartlepool are in sixth after sealing a 1-0 win at Bury. The only goal at Gigg Lane came just a minute into the second period when Tony Sweeney struck.

Bristol Rovers are into the top half of the table after a 4-0 success over lowly Accrington Stanley.

The match as a contest was over after 26 minutes with Rovers 3-0 up, thanks to goals from Richard Walker (6 & 26 pen) and Steve Elliott (22). Stuart Nicholson wrapped up the victory with a goal in the final minute.

Wrexham eased their relegation worries with a 1-0 win over Darlington at The Racecourse. Darren Holloway's own goal on 19 minutes gave the home side the three points.
