Stoke City 3 Leeds United 2

On the 23rd February 1974, Stoke City playing at home beat Leeds United to end Leeds 29 match unbeaten run from the start of the season.

Billy Bremner and Allan Clarke had put Leeds 2-0 up. Stoke raced back and won the match 3-2 in front of a crowd of 39,598.

Leeds went on to win the league that season.

Lat night Stoke moved to the top of the Championship after coming back from a 2-0 deficit against Scunny.

The game was watched by a crowd of 20,979. The capacity is now 28,383.

It is hoped the people of Stoke will start to fill the stadium and cheer Stoke to the Premiership.
