Bostock, a life-long Palace fan, won a place in the club's academy aged 7, beating off competition from 200 other candidates. He made his league debut at the age of 15 years and 287 days, playing 20 minutes as a substitute in a 2–0 defeat to Watford at Selhurst Park, making him Palace's youngest ever player. He has captained England at Under-17 level. Bostock has reportedly agreed a deal to join Tottenham Hotspur in July 2008
