Don’t laugh, but I think Middlesbrough have got a few half decent players. Players like Afonso Alves, Robert Huth, Adam Johnson ,Tuncay, Stewart Downing and David Wheater can all be better players under better management.
If the latest stories are to be believed, it appears that Liverpool will make a £12 million bid for Downing in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool have down really well this season and many experts believe they need a class midfielder who can play on the left if they want to challenge Man Utd for the Premiership title next year and in the years to come.
Can someone please explain to me why Liverpool should go for Downing because I think he’ll just be a waste of money.

Is Downing even worth £12 million for that matter?
