I agree to an extent, we play well when we play teams around our level. I wouldn't say our performances against any of the top 4 so far have been decent at all.

Bolton can play with it on the floor as well, it may be abit harsh but that's definitely how I see them.

Bolton haven't played much decent football before Owen Coyle took over from what I have seen, and Villa are a bit better than that at least.

its a traditional english game, played direct and with pace. and its effective enough to get us 2 consecutive top 6 finishes and a trip to wembley (so far).

i definitely hold to the mantra "winning ugly is better than losing with flair"

We did exactly the same a few years ago (with 2 trips to wembley, along the way) playing the same way we do now.

You don't hold any mantra, it's just as effective, but I know what I prefer seeing.

of course id prefer pretty continental football, who wouldnt. but as it is now we have a very good manager who has us playing great (if not spectacular) football. you should watch more Villa, we arent just longball merchants no matter what that cock wenger says.

if we had a proven top class goal scorer, thered be no doubting Villas effectiveness, we'd score shed loads.
