Aston Villa have once again let England down by failing to get to the group stage. I've nothing against Villa but I hope they don't get into the Europa League again. I would rather see teams such as Everton or Fulham in the competition who care about it and want to do well in it.

I'm sure Villa care about it as its extra revenue. They are just going through a bad patch at the moment.

Oh dear, not a good time to be a Villa fan now is it? Was greeted with a big cheer, when the result was announced over the PA at St andrew's at full time,

They lost to these last season so I wouldn't read too much into it.

Villa have been over achieving the last 2 season's. In both cup runs last year they never met any real threat, until they came acroos Chelsea, & Man U. before those 2, the hardest team they met was blackburn. Welcome to the real world vile.

I don't think Villa over achieved the last two seasons. I think their hurting after Martin O'Neill left the club sporadically. There probably going to go the way of Blackbutn and Bolton after they lost Hughes and Allardyce. Still, i don't feel that Rapid Wien are a great team even if there a top 2 team in Austria. The Austrian Bundesliga only has ten teams in it's top division. It's not that great.

Following the 6-0 drubbing at Newcastle, and last night's europa league exit. pundit's are saying kevin Mc Donald has been the worst caretaker appointment since Ian Huntley.
