Each club up and down the Country and across the world has history, what i class as a big club are based on winning trophies on a regular basis, challenging each season for their domestic league and cups and in Europe, a big fan base doesn't guarantee success or trophies, If i had to pick a few big clubs on these shores over the last 20 years, there would be 3, Liverpool,Arsenal and Manchester United.

I'm old enough to remember Liverpool's great teams of the 70's and 80s and also have to say as a neutral its been a joy to see United's and Arsenal's one's since Liverpool's last league title in 1990. Money now dictates our game and its getting more and more difficult for teams to challenge the so cxalled big four, but good viewing all the same.

i was thinking more along the euro lines, but if i were to name the biggest clubs in the world id also add Boca Juniors, River Plate, Independiente, Sao Paulo, Chivas, and Club America.
