    Pools' biggest threat

A Hartlepool United fan was asked what he thinks Hartlepool's biggest threat will be next season... his reply was "ourselves."

I think that's so true! Many times we've played a really good match and failed to come away with points last season.

Who else agrees? And who also thinks that their club is a threat to themselves next season, too, and why?

So you're not too optimistic for the new season then?

IOR and the chairman aren't backing Wilson and giving him money for new players though. And sorry but we should be more than capable of managing to at least stay up next season with the experienced players that we have in the team, even if we don't get top.

This is our centenary season though so it would be fantastic to see a big bang to the end of it - and by that, I mean fireworks for celebration, not fans blowing up the stadium in frustration

Sorry but I think next season will be a struggle if not investing in new players. Wilson needs backing, if not I can see him jumping ship. I can only see MK Dons & Peterborough getting better along with Stockport. Can't see Hereford doing much though. You need to be at least aiming to be better than those coming up.

Yes, definitely. Like I said, we do need new players if we're to improve but we should be able to at least manage to stay up without new players since most of the team are the team that got us promoted in the first place.

I think we need a really decent striker and a couple of defenders, though there's rumours that Dimi is coming back for a season which would be fantastic as he's a brilliant goalie.
