Croatia striker Nikica Jelavic is set to become Walter Smith's third northern summer signing for Rangers.

Jelavic will arrive at Murray Park on Saturday for a medical and to conclude personal terms after the Ibrox club finally reached agreement with Rapid Vienna.

The Croatian refused to play for Rapid in its Europa League play-off against Aston Villa as he tried to force the Austrian club into paving the way for the transfer.

Lennon didn't mention Weiss but the player said he'd been talking to Celtic 2 days before talking to Smith. Oh well, you win some the lose some.

The Jelavic deal is finally complete. what an on off, everybody else's fault saga this has been.
