SPL secures its biggest TV deal
The Scottish Premier League has announced its biggest television deal, proclaiming it as a significant cash boost for its 12 clubs.
A £125m contract has been agreed with Setanta Sports to continue the rights to live SPL matches for a further four years until 2014
s with the present contract, 60 games will be covered live each season for broadcast across the UK and Ireland.

It could be the reason but don't televisions have the option to choose between normal viewing and widescreen viewing these days? If that's the case, it wouldn't make any difference would it?
I think it's something else mate, perhaps HibernianFC has had bad experiences with Setanta Sports and because of that he thinks they're ****.
Apparently around £31m per season to be shared.
