Afonso Alves sets sights on award

Your striker has set his sights on winning the award for Europe's top goal-scorer this season.

He scored 34 goals in 31 starts for Dutch club Heerenveen during the 2006-07 season and came close to winning the 'Golden Shoe' award then.

Is he good enough to score goals like that in the Premiership, do you think?

Fair enough, Kate. He may not end up as Europe's top scorer with Middlesboro but he could be a 20-goal-plus marksman for the club and that can only be a good thing, can't it?
