This History theory

People, i mean oppo fans, constantly try to humiliate Chelsea, claiming we don't have a rich history like them.

the question is, what the hell history can buy you now? trophy? money? or respect?

I for one not to care a lot about this thing.
Do you think history plays an important roll in today's football?

your thoughts
cheers

Every fan thrives on their clubs history. It’s only the fans of clubs that have been successful recently who don’t care about it.
Before your recent success I promise you there were many Chelsea fans who talked about your history and prior to 1997 when you won the FA Cup many Chelsea fans were reminiscing the good old days when Chelsea won the FA Cup in 1970 and the European Cup Winners Cup in 1971.
There’s nothing wrong with a fan talking and boasting about the history of his club. If Chelsea don’t win anything for another 15 years, you’ll look back on these recent times and boast about the success you had.

the 3 things i base the size/success of a club of are their history, their fanbase, and recent/current success. chelsea have 1 out of 3. the TRULY big and "world class" clubs are United, Liverpool, Milan, Juve, Inter, Barca, and Madrid in my opinion.
-----
Arsenal are bigger than chavski too, but not a giant.

hmmm... I must add, Chelsea have an OK fanbase, and we've got a good history, well not as good as Scum united or Liverpoo but still a sign of class... I'd give it a 2.5 out of 3.
By the way, Arses can only dream about being bigger than Chelsea.

a 2.5 out of 3? you've won the first division 3 times (twice under mourinho's guidance and abromovich's money), and the FA cup 5 times i believe. so going by history you're smaller than Villa, not only domestically but in europe as well.... fanbase is ok but alot of them are plastic chavs, correct me if im wrong but the bridge is never sold out except against the other sky 4.

and trust me, anybody who has an ounce of knowledge about football will tell you that arsenal are a bigger club than chelsea, by a long way, and in all 3 categories ive mentioned. saying otherwise is just you being totally blind.

more like not even close.

btw man im not trying to offend you or discourage you from posting, i just want you to see that what your saying is wrong, and that chelsea have quite a way to go before they'll be considered a massive world class club.

We're talking about history and 18 league titles and 5 European Cup wins makes them a great club in anyone's book.

What if they are?... let me assure you that about 75% of United supporters are Chinese glory hunters who don't even know what a local team is! this thing can be true about Liverpool and every other successful clubs like Barca, too.

Even if you are right about our not rich history, we still get a 2, right?

indeed it is, im just saying if it wasnt for chelsea's money they would still be considered a medium sized london club. now theyre one of the most attractive prospective clubs in the world for players. i guess part of me is jealous that you have that kind of money. and it isnt the players fault, but i still hate chelsea and abromovich esspecially. sorry, just the way i feel.
