A law has been recently passed in France banning betting exchanges. Obvioulsy, a law like this is a discriminatory action against the Single Market.
Even though the Commission has been trying to push Member States to make sure no discrimination whatsoever takes place in the gambling sector across the EU, the truth is that by allowing legislation such as the French one, countries are being allowed to get away of full compliance with the Single Market.
Such a clear discriminatory move obviously hurts industry and CONSUMERS alike and should be clamped down on.
Have a look at http://www.right2bet.net where you can sign a petition to ask the EU for tougher action on this issue, since this is a matter of fairness and consistency across Europe!
