So, let's backtrack about 30 years - it is now the 1970s. Back then, they had very basic technology.... coloured TV was just becoming popular, video games started coming into the picture, and the idea of a cellphone wasn't even crossing anybody's minds. A simple calculator took up half of a room (basic multiplication, division, addition, etc) and the Internet was science fiction.
Look at today's technologies...
We have video games that connect us with people around the globe. The graphics are very sophisticated.
We have little half-inch memory cards that can hold many gigs of DATA.
Computers recognize finger prints, etc.
Cars navigate VIA satellite
You can access hundreds of thousands of pieces of information in less than a minute from sources across the globe.
Etc etc... the LIST goes on.
Now, I have a question... what do YOU think will be in store for us from now until the year 2030? What kind of technologies do you see being integrated into our every day lives? I have often thought about this, and it is truly MIND BOGGLING at how fast of a rate that technology is going these days. Something new is being built or worked on every second of the day... new technologies arise in secret labs. So, my question to you, is.... WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE? Here's my theory.
- Fast food restaurants such as McDonalds will have very few workers. Most of it will be robotic.
- Computers will be able to comprehend and analyze material as quickly as the human brain.
- Cars no longer require gasoline - most of the oil wells are dried up. Hydrogen and water are now being used as fuels.
- AI technologies exist in modern homes...
- Robots become more of a part of every day life.
- Population is around 7.5 billion
I could go on and on about this, but... I want to hear what YOU think.
