Middlesbrough Arghh the dreaded last minute goal!!

Why do we seem to always let in last minute goals. Why can't we play for the full 90 minutes. This result to me says the players are at fault and not the manager, we have thrown away far to many points this season and we have lost games we should have won. Colin Cooper is a respected man on Teesside but the players obviously didn't respect him.

Wheater hasn't been on form lately making costly mistakes and I just hope the new manager, whoever it is can make the players play for the 90+ minutes and not switch off towards the end of the game.

I watched todays game on the internet and we were dominant in the first half but we just didn't finish anything off. We need to start taking out chances. If we are winning we need to keep attacking and keep playing in the same way that got us the lead, we don't want to be dropping off and just playing for the result as it stands.

I think thats the problem, once we are winning with a few mins left, we must think, oh thats the points in the bag, if we defend we can get all the points. But that hasn't been the case on so many occasions. Today feels like a defeat and we are renowned for letting in late goals.

I think it was a few years ago against Fulham with about 3 min left, we were winning 2-0 and the final result was 2-2. Whether we are unlucky or just plane lazy, things need to change!!! Proper not happy about the result, we played so well in the first half and our second half performance let us down a lot.

Well I think last minute goals are ace

Seriously though, they are an amazing part of the game. Just watching the results rolling in today it was amazing how many reults were turned around in those dying minutes due to last minute goals. Obviously teams push harder with a do or die attitude in those dying minutes. No team can afford to be complacent.

Look at it this way, you could be Spurs. Dominate a game for 86 minutes, have your 2 best players injured then concede because of your first defensive error of the game.

Such is life.

It's a cruel sport, losing to anti-football sides is heartbreaking.

Not for a second. I think anyone who saw the game today knows who the better side was. Our first lapse in 90 minutes was punished. Whereas they somehow rode their luck everytime they had a lapse.

Anti-football is playing it the way it shouldn't be played, Stoke play football like a rugby team.

I know we have had this debate many many times, and no doubt will do again. You say "Anti football is playing the way it shouldn't be played". Who says you HAVE to play a certain way? It's not what you like or how you want to play, but there are no right and wrong ways to play just different ways of playing.

What do you mean playing football the way it shouldn't be played. Surely if they played their football and got 3 points, your the club who is playing football the way it shluldn't be played!!! They played to to beat you, they beat you so they have accomplished everything they came out to accomplish?

At the end of the day you lost and Stoke (lol) won

Consistant fouling, timewasting, Delaps throws... They are an embarrassment.

You hardly see them string 3 or 4 passes together before it's lumped upfield.

If anyone finds their football entertaining, they have no clue about the "beautiful" game.

I am not saying I disagree, BUT there's no law which says you have to play the game a certain way that's all I am saying. Personally I would much rather watch a team like Tottenham play, but Stoke can't afford the type of players Tottenham can so have to play that way.

Today the game is no longer beautiful.

They won as they tactically beat you.
