Chelsea's transfer ban has been temporarily lifted

Chelsea's transfer ban has been temporarily lifted.
FIFA had imposed a block on the Blues bringing in new players until January 2011 over the signing of Gael Kakuta in 2007.

But the Court of Arbitration for Sport has granted Chelsea's request to suspend their the ban until there is a final decision on their appeal.

==============================

Knew this was going to happen, whats the point in banning them, then allowing them!! Wonder if Portsmouth will have their ban suspended!! Doubt it as they don't have loads of music!!!

Maybe some bank accounts have been made wealthier because of this decision?

Football is corrupt, and thats the risk of having people with too much money.

Not suprised at all to see the ban suspended, can't see the comparison between this and Pompey's, Portsmouth have been banned from making new signings until they settle transfer debts owed to other English clubs.

What a fcuking joke. Wtf is the point in having a ban when you're going to temporarily lift it. Why not just say "Look, do wtf you like, when you like, no matter who it effects, no matter how much authority tells other clubs not to do it... you do what you fcuking like"... B@stards.

Guys, you're all acting like they've overturned it. They've lifted it subject to a final decision from CAS. Personally I agree with the decision to lift it for this reason. However, before you all shoot me down for taking a biased stance, if we are guilty of the offence in question and the appeal fails, then I would be fully in support of the ban being back in place. Hell I wouldn't complain if it was longer second time around.

Total BS, but I saw it coming all the way. With Chelsea's money and influence there was no way it would hold up. Roma were banned from registering new players for inducing Mexes to break his contract at Auxerre in 2005, and just earlier this year Sion of Switzerland were also punished for the same thing.

But when you're Chelsea or Man Utd, you can get anything your way. I mention Man Utd because they should also have been punished for poaching Michele Fornasier from Fiorentina, OBVIOUSLY he didn't have a contract with Fiorentina because in Italy clubs are banned from signing under-18 players! Players train in clubs' youth systems and the expectation is that they'll sign with them, so obviously Fiorentina couldn't produce 'sufficient evidence.'

Nah, so should you let murderers and rapists out until they appeal their cases? You have been found guilty, but your appealing, so you still guilty until you overturn that at the appeal.
