    It does seem odd. If you're going to take action why not drop him totally? (Because he's our best defender, obviously). Ah well, we weren't going to win the world cup anyway...

    good point, you're not gonna win the world cup regardless of him playing or not. but it is unfair that he's been stripped from captaincy but what it's not like it's going to dissract his way of playing. he's still going to be a top-class defender anyway.

    Rio Ferdinand to be the new England Captain, as Capello had picked him as vice captain, and also he made a third choice which is probably Gerrard who will be Vice Captain.

    Rio is a good choice for captain he's done a great job when he's captained United and he's a far better defender/rolemodel than Terry
