    Carrol and Henderson to start

BBC Sport - Football - Andy Carroll to make England debut against France

Its a pointless friendly, Capello should play the youngsters

I think the only people who'll really be interested in this are Newcastle and Sunderland fans who want to see how their players get on. This England international match preview has five reasons to watch, but they're all pretty lame. They miss out the best one - it's an excuse to pop down the pub.

FULL ENGLAND SQUAD TO FACE FRANCE:
Foster (Birmingham), Hart (Manchester City), Green (West Ham); Cahill (Bolton), Gibbs (Arsenal), Jagielka (Everton), Lescott (Manchester City), Richards (Manchester City), Ferdinand (Manchester United), Smalling (Manchester United), Warnock (Aston Villa); Walcott (Arsenal), A Young (Aston Villa), Gerrard (Liverpool), Barry (Manchester City), A Johnson (Manchester City), Milner (Manchester City), Henderson (Sunderland); Bothroyd (Cardiff), Carroll (Newcastle), Crouch (Tottenham), C Cole (West Ham).

I reckon the starting XI will be: Hart, Richards, Ferdinand, Jagielka, Gibbs, Walcott, Henderson, Gerrard, A.Young, Carroll, Crouch

Barry, Gibbs, Lescott, Jagielka right back? No Adam Johnson?

    0-1 France, Benzema just scored.
