Hope the SFA take action against Celtic as they are responsible for this mess, a lot of Scottish clubs will no doubt be unhappy with Celtic over the descision taken by the referees
Scottish referees are fed up with criticism that has come their way
Fixtures in Scotland face possible postponement next weekend after Category One referees voted to strike.
Scottish match officials are upset with the avalanche of criticism that has come their way this season.
The decision to take strike action was reached at a referees' union meeting held on Sunday afternoon.
There are six Scottish Premier League games scheduled for next weekend. There is also a full card in the Scottish Football League.
The ALBA Challenge Cup final between Queen of the South and Ross County at McDiarmid Park is under threat, as will any Scottish Cup replays.
BBC Scotland has learned that officials are concerned that their integrity is constantly being questioned and there are increasing fears over personal safety as a result of public criticism from managers and the media.
Scottish Premier League referees threatened to strike over pay in 2008 but the threat was lifted when a review was set up to study their wage demands.
There were also rumblings of discontent last season, with head of referee development Hugh Dallas clashing with then-Motherwell boss Jim Gannon and accusing him of undermining the confidence of officials with his repeated criticism.
Last month, Hamilton manager Billy Reid warned that he would understand if referees were to refuse to officiate because of the excessive criticism directed at them.
On Thursday, Celtic chairman John Reid called for the resignation of referee Dougie McDonald, saying "his position is completely untenable" after he was warned by the Scottish Football Association for lying about his reasons for overturning a penalty award.
In the wake of McDonald's admission of deception, SFA chief executive Stewart Regan has promised an overhaul of how referees are disciplined.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon was critical of the McDonald episode and has since questioned refereeing decisions after defeats to Rangers and Hearts.
And Celtic striker Gary Hooper caused a storm when he said the thought referees "want" to give decisions against his team because they are one of the world's big clubs.
Politicians have also been getting in on the act, with SNP sport spokesman Pete Wishart calling for referees to be forced to declare which team they support.
The SFA are not commenting on the matter, with a spokesman saying they have not had any official notification of the planned strike.

nicked from elsewhere, but it is only speaking the truth, Tho i await. the lies, and victimisation claim's of the ever offended (who incidenntly received not one media picture, or column inch, of their vile fans anti poppy protest's. or during their game at tynecastle, their support constantly belted out what must have been in the words of celtic supporters themselves, the worst example of bigoted songs and support for terrorists ever heard in scottish football, celtic fans words not mine, but hey not mentioned in the mhedia)
A bolt from the blue hits us and it looks like we might get a weekend off courtesy of our unwilling compatriots.
Nobody in Scotland; the beaks at the top of the tree, the punters in the stands and even people with little interest in our top flight can blame the officials for taking a stand against a constant and sinister campaign designed to do nothing other than heap pressure on the already difficult job of officiating football matches. Well, some football matches.
I don't expect the BBC to name exactly who has been behind this campaign but for once it does not really matter. It is clear why the officials are taking this action of last resort and it is to the shame of the cowards in-charge of the SPL and SFA that they have allowed a situation to fester for weeks that could and should have been put to bed the first instant a barely legible scrap of paper arrived on the doormat with the senders address 'Celtc park' at the head.
This club has reduced further an already diminished standing of our game. They have not done it because of paranoia, nor through any form of legitimacy. They have done it to try and leverage an advantage on the park. Cheats in any sport are harshly dealt with across the board and this simply must be the case here if our game is to remove the 'laughing stock' tag.
I would suggest that the cynical manner of the actions taken by Celtic football club should be met with, as an absolute minimum, a points deduction. Anything less for this Bear would be seen as a quiet vindication of their actions, a tacit admittance that the SFA are powerless to control a member club and an invitation to carry on with the same shameful behavior that has caused an entire profession to walk out in protest.
We will not see it unless a spine appears somewhere at Hampden'
why dont the men in black just blatantly refuse to officiate ceptic games? Ceptic are the disease here, not official's. Ceptic fc, Incidently got more dodgy decision's in their favour, than any club iv'e ever known during 2007/08 season. and just how did you mhanks enjoy your pre arranged foreign tour at the end of that season?

Yeah, it's always boring to your lot when it's true eh.
I would have no problem with Irish ref's covering Rangers game, See we at Ibrox are sensible enough to know, that all ref's make kistakes, and all club's suffer, & benefit at some time.
We are the people, not a bunch of paranoid ever offended mopes, Trying to gain any advantage possible, even it means chastising ref's and claiming to be the only victim's of bad decision's. Basically putting extra pressure on ref's to be favourable to celtic. It is nothing short of cheating really.

Celtic are quite entitled raise complains especially when it comes to ref's making things up. They have to be seen to be incorruptable if they police the game. They are sure as hell stuffing that up recently. Sally as usual can't differenciate between the club and the supporters seeing as it suits his sad wee agenda to blur the two.
We erra peepil, yeah, away and beat your wife like the rest of the ugly hun orcs.
Indeed we are the people. Because we don't feel the need to resort to sectarian insult's, when somebody has a difference of opinion. I mean you dont see me saying away and shag the weans now do you? I was just thinking of how the dictionary define's Bigotry. But hey you just gave the perfect example.

Blah blah blah blah Who really gives a **** about the ugly sisters, the refs are *****, Celtic over did it, but who cares something has to be said, I think Celtic was out of order but at the same time, understand it, now why don't you lot talk about it rather than going on rants about rangers and celtic,
Anyone forgetting the dodgy pen he gave against us the week later, Doubt he would have been giving a rangers or celtic match after his **** up against dundee utd and celtic, they just off load the ***** to the teams with no say,
