Hearts Ban Flag

Hearts have warned their fans that they could be arrested if they wave the Red Hand of Ulster flag at Tynecastle. Vladimir Romanov’s club are to send letters to all Hearts supporters outlining their concerns over the flag being used in an inciteful manner.

Hearts Chief Executive David Southern speaking at the Tynecastle side’s AGM yesterday, said: “What happened in that May game can never happen again. All we are asking is what are the reasons for the colours you’re flying at Tynecastle? As regards the Union Jack, there is no club that deserves the right to fly the Union Jack more than Hearts given the sacrifices of our players. We would never ban the Union Jack. But it’s been hijacked and it can be hijacked by a minority of our supporters. We need to be very careful of that.
“As regards the Red Hand of Ulster, quite frankly there is no relevance of that flag at this ground, unless you’re from Ulster Hearts Supporters’ Club, which I believe exists. You can’t be arrested for having a flag or being in possession of a flag unless it’s a prescribed flag.”

Your lucky if there is 10 Tri colours at ER these days if that, we stoped it years agao! as you know it, I don't support the Tri-Colour and would love for it to be non existant at ER, but we do have a small irish support hence the reason behind them dotted about ER, You ask 9/10 hearts and rangers fans why they fly the red hand and they won't give you a answer,

i would wager that one of the biggest reasons is the simple fact that Celtic/Hibs fly tri colors...

again with the fucking facism... at Timbers matches people wave and hang Republic of Cascadia flags (political movement, people who want to make Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia into our own country called Cascadia....it actually has a lot of support, and if it happened i wouldnt mind but im not actively seeking it). and there is no way in hell our front office would try and stifle the fans.



i love how the Douglas Fir tree on that big flag looks just like a marijuana bud...only in Oregon (im almost certain it was deliberate)

But Villa we don't wave the Tri Colour, we have a small Irish supporters grp, and and i said before there are very little tri colours at ER, so it isn't a problem, We're hibs fans we don't see the need to bring religion and country into it, If your a hibee your welcome at ER anytime, We also have a N.I Supporters club, who are welcome to ER and who come to ER on a daily basis, Ill be first to admit awhile ago hibs would sing the Irish songs, and wave the Tri Colour even had the harp on our main stand but its gone now we have it on our badge and in our history, I still cant get my head around any fan who thinks its normal to sing your national anthem one week and another the next, like wise with flags
