    Busy Time For McCoist

ALLY McCOIST is hopeful of concluding deals to bring back Carlos Cuellar to Rangers and land midfielder Neil Danns.

The new boss is also adamant he will do all he keen to keep Steven Whittaker, Steve Davis and Allan McGregor.
McCoist said: "Gordon Smith has been talking to Aston Villa about Carlos. I'm very keen for that deal to go through but I don't think we'd be going as far as £3million to make it happen.".

"There could be information on Neil Danns in a matter of days.
"We've been talking to his representatives since he left Crystal Palace and and I'm trying to push that one through."

McCoist's time between now and departure for Germany a week on Wednesday will be taken up with negotiating deals Keeper Allan McGregor has told the manager he wants to add time on to the two years he has left.
Steven Whittaker has also had a meeting with McCoist who remains confident the player will be staying at Ibrox beyond his current contract. He told the Daily Record: "I'm going to do everything to keep him, Alan and Steven Davis at the club."

    ----------------

£3m would be bad business for Cuellar taking into accound we signed him for £7m, so not much of a loss although the way McCoist is talking there they are probably only willing to offer half. Looks like the Danns deal is but done.

LOL yeah i saw Danns signed for Leicester instead, to be fair im surprised Rangers sign anybody with the amount of money they are willing to pay for a player. For a so called massive club it must be pretty embarrassing for the fans when they get knocked back by average Championship players.

Its not so much the club that has the problem, no one wants to play in scotland the league is a shambles to only reason players go to rangers and celtic is to play a few games in the champions league when they would never get it otherwise. Also the english championship is a very good league to watch it gets more fans at games than serie a.
