    The future of England?

Not that many of us here give a fook about internationals, anyway how would you repair the team or what changes would you make?

I would follow the mantra of the German/Spanish team that include many players from a small quantity of the teams so they are familiar with each others game and can use their understanding to outwit teams.

Get rid of the deadwood i.e. Lampard, Barry, Richards, Wright-Phillips, Crouch that constantly get games and underperform. Bring in fresher players with the energy and ability to change games. It's probably too late to prepare them for Euro 2012 like Germany did for 2010, so tinker with smaller games /friendlies now and bed them in for the 2014 qualifiers.

    Hart
    Smalling
    Jones
    Terry?
    Cole
    Walker
    Kelly

    Cleverley
    Wilshere
    Young
    Adam johnson
    Downing
    Henderson
    Barkley?
    Mceachren

    Rooney
    Welbeck
    Heskey...(joke)
    Chamberlain?

That's all I can think of atm, but it looks like a good young team with experience.

Capello will probably be gone by 2012, are there any managers capable of guiding England to relative success though? With the media and fan pressure we have in this country I honestly can't see anyone changing this

Reports on Sky said they played really well, but then saw the side and thought wait until Lampard & Gerrard come back in and fuck it all up again...

Definatley working out for England using these fresh hungry players rather than the old guard. For too long Englands team has been picking itself and now with some competition for places the team is better for it. I know its early but I think this team will do alot better next summer if they qualify than the previous World Cup 10 team.

lampard was in the squad and was dropped for the game in which in typical italian style capello went for two holding players. So he shown he is not above dropping stars.

terry said to sky sports today that he feels every place is up for grabs even his which i feel is an honest assessment of things at the moment when gerrard is fit will remain to be seem but that always been the case at international level so we shall see.

A good 3-0 win and thats what is important and when the summer comes around those young players will have been given a chance like smalling got last night and you never know maybe capello will make tough decisions when he names his final squad.
