No idea. Can't see a big club like Rangers going under though. If they do, that leaves only Celtic which can't be good for anybody. Surely the SPL would give them some kind of parachute payment, if they can afford it, until a takeover is arranged?
Heard their on the verge of going bankrupt?, is this true?, whats the reason behind this and is there any truth in it?..
IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE A BIT OF BANTER, THEN BUILD A BRIDGE & GET THE FUCK OVER IT!

It would hurt Celtic more than it would the SPL, Celtic would have no competition at all, saying that maybe the likes of Hibs & Hearts could challenge then..

Maybe we could finally move to England and become a decent club again.
Scottish football is dying a death with or without celtic and rangers, So the if it wasn't for rangers and celtic SPL would be shite has now died as'well, Wish all you want your dream of playing in england are as much of a chance as hibs winning the scottish cup, Your both scottish clubs and you cant just abandon ship because scottish football doesn't suit you anymore,
Rangers won't die and thinking so is just stupid,
MASSIVE
I think even if they lost the case to HMRC deals can be done to prevent them going to the wall. It's not that bad for Celtic if Rangers vanish, it's a better chance of champions league football every season. Although what little TV money Scottish football gets would go without 4 SPL helpings of Old firm football. Heart says funny as feck if they went bust, head says probably not a good thing.
Well it doesnt look good would be a disaster if rangers went bust just as it would be a terrible situation if celtic went bust with the history the clubs have but the reality is that if the HMRC dofind against rangers then we're stuffed simple as.
I am worried the club is going through a seriously bad period off the park andif they get worse how long before we have to firesale out the clubs best players its a slippery slope and in all honesty i dont want to think about.
FAI = Footballing Apartheid in Ireland
It would of been different if they accepted that 9m for Jelavic surely?..

better to fidle txes than fiddle kids eh? Ask large john, torbett or who ever youfookin dorty child molesters wwanna ask, Rangers FC, mosy successful club in the world FACT. Naw away you you teroriist lovingg scum ,and shag youe nephws or nieces, or whatever your preferance. Large john weas aware, really he was. god save the queen

If either Celtic or Rangers went bust then I wouldn't be the end of the SPL, I actually think it would do it good!! Wouldn't it be better if another team won the title rather than Celtic or Rangers? The league would be wide open, well compared to what it is like now. But I can't see them going under, they are a big club with a massive fan base, if they needed money to survive their fans would cop up, just like any other fans would in this situation. I don't know the full story about their debt problems but surely they can't be that bad?

Whatever happens to Rangers, that will never happen as UEFA keep blocking it. Rangers going under would be a serious blow to Celtic and its finances.
Personally, as a Rangers fan, I don't understand why some Celtic fans would relish the prospect of Rangers being put out of business by the HMRC (a possibility I don't even want to think about right now).
If the shoe was on the other foot, the thought of Celtic going out of business would actually depress the life out of me.
The prospect of no more Old Firm Games..... EVER. Doesn't bear thinking about!
I don't personally know any old firm fans on either side of the fence that don't look on the old firm games as the highlight of the domestic calendar and to lose either side of the old firm would be a travesty. In my humble opinion.
rangers' former chief executive martin bain
has had almost half a million pounds of the
club's assets frozen after a judge agreed
there was "real and substantial risk of
insolvency".
Mr bain is pursuing a £1.3 million damages
claim against his ex-employer at the court
of session in Edinburgh.
judge lord hodge granted a warrant which
would ring-fence £480,000 of the club's
assets.
he said there was risk of insolvency if
the HMRC tax case goes against rangers.
