Just reading that Bayern tried to strike a deal to sign Nani this January, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said they failed as United went to high with the fee. Interesting to hear that United were prepeared to listen to an offer but then priced him out of a move.
I guess they failed with a bid for Nani, wonder if their bid for Granny-Fucker Rooney?.

According to Bayern they made an offer, but said it was up for negotiation, Uniteds asking price was way too high for them. Conjecture says it was in excess of what Real paid for Ronaldo, Fergie backed it up by saying that when you compare the two, Nani is actually ahead of Ronaldo, in terms of how long he's been at United on goals and assists.
