wo car loads of Wrexham supporters this week drove to Shrewsbury Town’s ground to try to break into the office of manager Graham Turner. When they failed to break-in they instead decided to spray paint ‘Wrexham FC’ onto the stadium. Unfortunately for them, Shrewsbury’s senior events officer Steve Gittins was monitoring the club’s CCTV cameras at the time and alerted police.

He told the Shropshire Star: “There were two cars full of people – between six and eight people. But only three got out of the car. “I maintained a watch throughout on CCTV. They came around to the manager’s office and tried the door, which was locked and they couldn’t get in. So they spray-painted ‘Wrexham FC’ on the South stand in red paint. Then on the doors and windows they put ‘WFC’.


“As soon as they went round there and started trying the door, I contacted the police. All of the time they were doing the graffiti-ing, I was speaking to the police control room to give them descriptions of the vehicles and the people. In less than 10 minutes, two vehicles fitting the description were stopped.”


Police gave fixed penalty notices to two of the people in the cars they stopped.
If they were hoping to break in but instead settled for a bit of graffiti it does make you wonder what they were planning to do if they got into Turner’s office. A spurious transfer bid or two?

I just dont understand why though?, i know Turner used to play for Wrexham but that was years ago, i dunno maybe he has upset the club by doing something..
